SkillsFan is a GUI-based desktop client for Claude Code, available on two independent sites — skills.fan for China and skillsfan.com for the global market. We wrap Claude Code's powerful AI Agent capabilities in a visual interface, making it accessible to non-technical users.
Why We Built SkillsFan
Claude Code is one of the most capable AI coding assistants available today, but it comes with barriers:
- CLI is not user-friendly — For users unfamiliar with the command line, installation and usage are challenging
- Network restrictions — Users in China cannot directly subscribe to Claude's official models due to network limitations
- Complex model configuration — Connecting domestic LLMs (such as Zhipu GLM, Kimi, MiniMax) requires manually editing config files — a cumbersome process
We believe Claude Code's capabilities shouldn't be limited to programmers. That's why we built the SkillsFan client — packaging Claude Code's core power into a download-and-use desktop app with native one-click support for domestic LLMs.
SkillsFan Desktop Client
The SkillsFan client is a visual wrapper around Claude Code, available for macOS and Windows — fully open-source and free.
It addresses the core pain points of using Claude Code:
- Download & Go — No Node.js installation, no command line. Just double-click to install like any regular app
- No Claude Subscription Required — No need for Claude Pro / Max. Open it and start using
- One-Click Model Setup — Visual point-and-click configuration for Zhipu GLM, MiniMax, Kimi, DeepSeek and more. Custom third-party API integration also supported
- Visual + Terminal — Model management, skill configuration — all wrapped in a visual UI, while preserving the full terminal experience, fully aligned with Claude Code's capabilities

Client: Open-Source & Free
The SkillsFan client is open-source software that anyone can download and use for free. Power it with your own model API key or Coding Plan — no login or payment required.
Skill Library: Free + Paid
- Skills collected from open-source communities are always free
- Skills we develop ourselves are free for the first week after launch
- If you don't want to pay, you're welcome to check in each week and grab the latest free skills
Optional: Full Access
All paid skills can be purchased individually, or you can get Full Access to unlock everything at once.
